Dosage and Overdosage
Ventolin is prescribed for use as inhalation through the mouth using a nebulizer, Ventolin use should be carried out under doctor’s supervision. Ventolin is prescribed for adults to eliminate bronchospasm attacks in a dose of 100-200 mg once a day.
For prophylactic treatment the daily dose is 200 mg 3-4 times a day; before exercise or contact with the allergen – 200 mg 15 min before exposure to factor. Children to stop the attack of bronchospasm are recommended the use of Ventolin:
- 1-2 mg under the age of 2 to 6 years old;
- 2 mg in age from 6 to 12 years old;
- 4.2 mg in 12 years of age.
For prevention – 100-200 mg three times a day is applied. The dose may be increased to 4 ml in case of urgent necessity.
Do not use Ventolin inhalation more than 4 times a day. For elderly people, a daily dose is 2 mg three times a day.

Side Effects
As any other medication, Ventolin have side effects. But with one remark – absolutely following of prescribed dosage will guarantee you no adverse reactions appearance. Consult the doctor before starting Canadian Ventolin application.
Contraindications

Interactions
It is not recommended to use both salbutamol and non-selective beta-adrenoceptor blockers, such as propranolol.
Salbutamol is not contraindicated in patients receiving MAO inhibitors. In patients with thyrotoxicosis Ventolin enhances the action of CNS stimulants, tachycardia.
Theophylline and other xanthine combined with Ventolin use increase tachyarrhythmia risk.

Ventolin and Alcohol Consumption
It is not recommended to consume alcohol in combination with Ventolin because it may a little bit slow down the Ventolin inhaler action. But there are no scientifically proved facts that it is strictly prohibited to combine alcohol and Ventolin.
